Implant integrity, safety and biocompatibility has improved considerably over the past 20 years. Implants used prior to the turn of the 21st century were older generation implants and were associated with significantly more complications than what we see today. Complications such as implant rupture and capsular contracture are noticeably less with modern silicone implants. It is for this reason that it is recommended that implants be changed every 10 to 15 years.

Breast Revision surgery may also involve scar revision, lift revision, and correction of acquired deformities such as bottoming out, implant displacement, and so called “double-bubbles”.

Many patients have been left feeling hopeless if they have developed a complication following their original breast surgery. Fortunately, many patients are excellent candidates for Breast Revision surgery. It is crucial that Dr. Mark examines you to determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate for revision surgery.
